After sixteen years, Aldi was on the hunt for a fresh brand platform that encapsulated their philosophy and personality. So after brainstorming in a tiny room that looked like ‘a beautiful mind’, we came up with two simple words; good different. To launch the Good Different platform, we showed Australians just how satisfied Aldi shoppers were.

Instagram wanted a platform that not only explained what their app was about to Australian teens, but to also get them to discover more about their interests. We encouraged people to get into the things they ❤️ by writing and producing a jingle disguised as a music track. Our ‘music video’ took people through a multi-media journey of discovery using influencers and artists on the platform.

Oda is a set of wooden speakers created by passionate people in the music industry that turns your home into a live music venue. As lovers of live music and conscious of the current climate within the music industry, we donated our minds to help launch Oda. We let the world know about their mysterious looking speakers by creating some mysterious looking videos to get people intrigued enough and pre-order theirs.

Australia is one of the most multicultural countries on earth, yet only 16% of people working in the advertising and media industry come from a culturally diverse background. To help raise awareness around this problem, we helped launch #OnlyOneInTheRoom. A collective with the aim to highlight the homogeneity of the industry and encourage professionals, agencies, industry bodies, brands and clients to be part of the change that will shift our industry for the better. To launch this ‘trend we want to end’, we created a fashion parody film featuring real industry talent modelling a line of #OnlyOneInTheRoom merch for people to wear their support and spark conversation in their workplace.

In Australia, ‘ranga’ is a colloquial term for someone with red hair. Put A Rang On It (inspired by a Beyoncé song) is a social experiment I created that transforms celebs into redheads. Overnight, PAROI went viral around the world, gaining over 20,000 followers within days on Instagram and Tumblr. It was also a talking segment on Australian national news and featured in The Huffington Post, Time, Vogue, Perez Hilton, MTV, Mashable, BuzzFeed, Daily Mail and TrendHunter. I was also interviewed by Business Insider(??), responded to hate mail and made custom ‘rangs’ for fans who sent them as gifts to their friends and family.

Back in the ‘00s when I was a very green creative, and before the App Store was invented, I had an idea for iTunes that I wanted to share with Apple. Like a scene out of Hackers, I began using my investigative skills to find out Steve Jobs’ email address. I eventually did and sent him this message…
I’m not sure what’s worse; my email or his.
